Faith-Based World Oceans Posters

World Oceans Day has posted ideas for organizing an event in your faith community or congregation, and we have downloadable posters below for you to use to generate excitement. We have Actions to Take to address the Seven Deadly Sins of the Seas with Seven Virtuous Steps to do your part and a page of YouTube trailers and films to start discussions and interest, and of page of specific ocean organizations for getting involved in the ocean causes you care most about.  We hope you will honor this day by a celebration of the wonder and acknowledgment of the concerns, along with shared prayer and action -- by signing a petition to preserve a marine protected area or sanctuary and rolling up your sleeves to do some outdoors restoration in God's name together - - coastal clean-up, planting of mangrove trees, rebuilding oysterbeds or river clean up and planting many trees together. You can find opportunities with government natural resource agencies and conservation organizations working in your area. Please do the work in t-shirts that show the name of your community and that you are doing it in the name of faith so others will see and be prompted to think of their own faith and actions.
